General terms and conditions of business

STUDIO ISLA – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS (T&Cs)

1. General Provisions

These General Terms and Conditions govern the entire business relationship between Studio Isla and its clients. For readability, the masculine form is used throughout, but these terms apply to clients of all genders.

They apply to all services, product sales, and contracts between Studio Isla and the client.

Any deviating terms shall only apply if confirmed in writing.

2. Services

Studio Isla performs all services professionally and uses high-quality products.

Any changes will be communicated to the client before the service begins.

​

3. Appointments

Appointments can be booked in person, by phone, or online.

A binding service contract is established once the appointment has been confirmed by Studio Isla.

Deposits for Extended Appointments

For appointments involving extensive services that are expected to last more than 3 hours, Studio Isla reserves the right to require a deposit of up to 50%. In such cases, the appointment is only considered confirmed once the deposit has been received.

Cancellations and Changes

Appointments may be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours in advance.

If a client fails to attend an appointment without prior notice or a valid reason, Studio Isla reserves the right to charge up to 100% of the applicable service price. In such cases, any deposit paid will not be refunded.

Late Arrivals

If a client arrives more than 15 minutes late, the service may be shortened or rescheduled in whole or in part.

If the service cannot be performed as a result, Studio Isla reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 50%.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices include VAT at the applicable statutory rate.

Final prices may vary depending on hair length, hair volume, or additional work required.

Payment of the agreed price is due immediately upon completion of the service. Payments must generally be made in cash. Studio Isla may, at its discretion, accept other payment methods.

Any deposits paid will be deducted from the final price.

5. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers may be redeemed like cash.

Special conditions may apply to promotional vouchers.

6. Minor Clients

Services for clients under the age of 16 may only be provided with the written consent of a parent or legal guardian.

7. Complaints and Warranty

Complaints must be submitted within 5 business days.

Studio Isla shall always have the right to correct or remedy the issue.

No warranty applies in the following cases:

  • Improper hair care

  • Use of products not recommended by Studio Isla

  • Use of silicone-containing products purchased from drugstores

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Alterations made by third parties

  • Circumstances beyond Studio Isla's control

8. Warranty Period

Any warranty claims under Section 7 above shall expire if they are not asserted within five business days of the issue arising.

9. Data Protection

Client data will be treated confidentially and used solely for appointment management.

Client data will not be shared with third parties without written consent.

10. Liability

Studio Isla accepts no liability for coats, bags, jewelry, or other valuables brought into the salon by the client.

Clients are advised to store valuables securely or avoid bringing them to the salon.

Studio Isla shall not be liable for:

  • Damage to clothing caused by the client's own actions

  • Allergic reactions that were not disclosed in advance

  • Results caused by improper at-home hair care

  • Delays or service interruptions due to circumstances beyond its control, such as power outages or illness

Waiting times do not give rise to any entitlement to compensation.

11. Damage and Theft

Damage caused by a client may be charged to the client.

Theft will be reported to the relevant authorities and prosecuted in accordance with applicable law.

12. Images and Copyright

All designs, hairstyles, and photographs created in the salon are subject to Studio Isla's copyright.

Commercial use by the client is only permitted with written authorization.

​

13. Conduct in the Salon

Clients are required to behave respectfully and comply with applicable hygiene regulations.

In cases of misconduct, Studio Isla reserves the right to refuse service or issue a ban from the premises.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through mediation.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

German law shall apply exclusively.

The place of jurisdiction shall be Ravensburg, Germany.

​

16. Severability Clause

If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a legally compliant provision that most closely reflects the original intent of the contracting parties.
