General terms and conditions of business
STUDIO ISLA – GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS (GTC)
1. General information
These General Terms and Conditions govern the entire business relationship between Studio Isla and its customers. For better readability, only the masculine form is used here, although customers of any gender are addressed by these terms and conditions.
They apply to all services, product sales, and contracts between Studio Isla and the customer.
Deviating terms and conditions only apply if they have been confirmed in writing.
2. Services
Studio Isla performs all services professionally and uses high-quality products.
The customer will be notified of any changes before the service begins.
3. Appointments
Appointments can be made in person, by phone, or online.
A binding service contract is created upon confirmation by Studio Isla.
Deposit for long appointments
For extensive appointments that are expected to last more than 3 hours, Studio Isla is entitled to request a deposit of up to 50%. The appointment is then only considered confirmed after receipt of payment.
Cancellations & changes
Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours in advance.
If the customer does not show up without prior cancellation and without giving a reason, Studio Isla is entitled to charge up to 100% of the valid service price. In this case, any deposit paid will not be refunded.
Delays
If the customer is more than 15 minutes late, the service may be shortened or rescheduled in whole or in part.
If the service cannot be performed as a result, Studio Isla is entitled to charge a cancellation fee of up to 50%.
4. Prices and payment
All prices include VAT at the statutory rate.
Final prices may vary depending on hair length, hair volume, or additional work required.
The agreed price is due for payment immediately upon provision of the service. Payments must generally be made in cash. Studio Isla may also allow other payment options at its discretion. Any advance payments made will be credited toward the price.
5. Vouchers
Vouchers can be redeemed like cash.
Special conditions may apply to promotional vouchers.
6. Minors
Services will only be provided to customers under the age of 16 with the written consent of a parent or guardian.
7. Complaints & warranty
Complaints must be made within 5 working days.
Studio Isla always has the right to rectify the problem.
No warranty applies in the following cases:
– Improper care
– Use of non-recommended products
– Silicone-based drugstore products
– Natural signs of wear and tear
– Changes made by third parties
or in circumstances for which Studio Isla is not responsible.
8. Warranty period
Claims arising from the warranty under section 7 above shall lapse if they are not asserted within five working days of their occurrence.
9. Data protection
Customer data will be treated confidentially and used only for appointment management.
No disclosure without written consent.
10. Liability
Studio Isla accepts no liability for clothing, bags, jewelry, or valuables that customers bring to the salon.
We recommend that you keep your valuables safe or do not bring them with you.
Studio Isla is not liable for:
– Damage to clothing caused by the customer's own fault
– Allergic reactions, unless these have been communicated in advance
– Results caused by improper home care
– Delays or cancellations due to force majeure (e.g., power failure, illness)
Waiting times do not entitle the customer to compensation.
11. Damage and theft
Damage caused by customers may be invoiced.
Theft will be prosecuted.
12. Images & Copyright
All designs, stylings, and photos created in the salon are subject to Studio Isla's copyright.
Commercial use by the customer is only permitted with written permission.
13. Behavior in the salon
The customer is obliged to behave respectfully and comply with hygiene regulations.
In the event of misconduct, the service may be refused or the customer may be banned from the premises.
14. Dispute resolution
Before initiating legal proceedings, both parties undertake to attempt mediation.
15. Applicable law & place of jurisdiction
German law applies exclusively.
The place of jurisdiction is Ravensburg.
16. Final clause
If any provision of these General Terms and Conditions is invalid or void, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.
The invalid or void clause shall be replaced by a legally compliant clause that comes as close as possible to the intention of the contracting parties.
